Jack Repenning is Chief Technology Officer of CollabNet, Inc., and participates in the Subversion project and several open-source communities around it. Previously, he has worked at Catapulse and Rational Software, where he was deployment architect for the Catapulse collaborative development environment. Other work history includes Informix, Silicon Graphics, and Hewlett-Packard. Jack has been an active contributor and member of open-source projects since the mid 1980s.
- Research Interests
Jack has lately been particularly interested in the interplay of commercial and open-source development techniques and cultures, particularly in the areas of hybrid commercial/open-source techniques, and in "innersourcing": reapplying the techniques of open-source projects to projects within an enterprise.
